Woman of Ukraine - National Independent Award
About the client
The National Award “Woman of Ukraine” annually recognizes the contribution of Ukrainian women to society, business, culture, science, and national defense. The award was founded in 2016 by Inna Heletiuk, President of EdiMedia Ukraine, and quickly gained public trust due to transparent voting and an independent jury.
The client approached us to develop a fast and reliable website for the award, with voting functionality and vote counting. The task was to create a resource that works seamlessly under heavy load, tight development timelines, and integrations with Facebook and Google for account verification.
Website structure
Colors and Typography
The website uses the Rayway font, providing a modern and elegant appearance.
Main colors:
- Golden brown for buttons and headings – emphasizes importance and adds a premium feel
- Light beige and white for background – keeps the site clean and easy on the eyes
- Black for text – ensures maximum readability and contrast
This color combination creates a harmonious, friendly, yet elegant style. The interface uses strict rectangular forms, emphasizing the official and solid nature of the resource

Website development
The site was developed using Laravel with Tailwind CSS frontend, and Laravel Nova was used for the admin panel to manage categories, nominations, and voting statistics for each category.
To ensure a rapid release, the team worked in parallel with the content manager: each entity was developed separately, deployed to a test server, and immediately filled with content. This approach allowed us to deliver the project on time and ensure stable operation under high load.
Main functionality includes:
- Catalog of nominations with the ability to view nominees and vote
- Voting limited to one vote per account (Facebook or email) per day
- Real-time vote counting with visualization in the admin panel
- Sections “Experts”, “Curatorial Board”, “Previous Years” with search, galleries, and partner information
- “About the Award” and “Rules”
The site operates seamlessly and handles simultaneous votes efficiently, ensuring transparency and reliability.
